REFERENCE: 800-123B-25
RATE OF PAY: $25.19 to $28.00 per hour (Increases set out as per the collective agreement. Full rate effective after 1 year of service)

ACCOUNTABILITY STATEMENT:
The Storesperson will work to receive, document, organize, issue, pack and ship supplies and material used in operation of Ontario Northland.
MAJOR DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Issue materials according to requisitions
- Identify, verify and ensure the accuracy of shipments received according to purchase orders
- Accurately records transactions, updates forms, records, reports and documents either manually or electronically on a computer
- Ship and store materials in appropriate location on shelves
- Load and unload materials from or into railcars, trailers, and trucks
- Operate forklift or other material handling equipment and perform daily inspection of vehicles and equipment
- Conduct inventory counts
- Upload Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS)/Safety Data Sheets (SDS)
- Janitorial duties
- Required to work outdoors in all weather
- Secondary School Diploma or General Educational Diploma (GED)
- Valid G Licence and ability to drive stores vehicles when required
- Experience in shipping and receiving
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs
- Previous experience with a computerized purchasing inventory system an asset
- Strong computer and keyboarding skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (oral & written)
- Demonstrated ability to work in both a team and safety-conscious environment
- Previous janitorial experience an asset
- Previous experience operating a forklift an asset
- Committed to Company Health and Safety standards and practices
