ACCOUNTABILITY STATEMENT:
The Information and Data (I&D) Coordinator plays a key supporting role in information and data management at Ontario Northland. This role is essential for advancing cross-functional information and data initiatives and supports shared work across the Information Management (IM), Information Technology Services (ITS), and Business Intelligence (BI) departments.

The Information and Data (I&D) Coordinator plays a key supporting role in information and data management at Ontario Northland. MAJOR DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide guidance to internal stakeholders on agency information and data policies and processes.
- Promote the adoption of compliant information and data practices across user groups.
- Coordinate the development and maintenance of an agency-wide information and data inventory (e.g., project planning, data collection and analysis, reporting, regular updating).
- Support the development, maintenance and implementation of information and data policies, processes, tools, and training and awareness activities.
- Assess training quality and feedback and implement improvement strategies.
- Develop and maintain the agency’s regulatory information and data requirements inventory.
- Coordinate information and data initiatives and project activities.
- Support project planning, coordination and communication with internal stakeholders.
- Assist project teams with information and data risk assessments.
- Compile statistical information to support monitoring and reporting progress on the agency’s information management maturity.
- Provide administrative support for the Information Management Team (IMT), including managing meeting agendas and minutes, maintaining the IM program’s intranet portal, and developing outreach materials.
- Coordinate IMT requests from across divisions and act as a central point of contact for the IMT.
- Establish and support collaboration between IM and its partner functions.
REQUIREMENTS:
- College diploma in Information Systems, Records and Information Management, Privacy Management, Archives, Library and Information Technician, or equivalent.
- 1–2 years’ experience working in an administrative capacity within an office environment, demonstrating strong organizational and communication skills.
- 1–2 years’ experience in a public sector setting, particularly in roles involving information or data management, with exposure to cross-departmental coordination or project support is preferred.
- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft 365 and SharePoint, with a strong motivation and ability to continuously learn and adapt to new technologies and platform features.
- Motivation and aptitude for continuously growing and enhancing skills in technology use.
- Experience with database programs.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to liaise effectively with various departments and external stakeholders of all technical and project management skill levels.
- Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects effectively.
- Ability to provide a high level of customer service to client departments, to influence others, build relationships, manage conflicts, and handle negotiations.
- Knowledge of information management principles and best practices.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
- Ability to understand and comply with legislation, directives, policies and procedures related to information management.
- Ability to travel within ONTC service territory.
