ACCOUNTABILITY STATEMENT:
The DevOps Architect is responsible for designing, planning, and governing application integration strategies to ensure seamless interoperability across internal systems, third-party solutions, and business requirements. This role develops and maintains the organization’s application architecture blueprint to support scalable and efficient technology solutions. The DevOps Architect also oversees integration testing across custom-built and commercial platforms to ensure reliable system performance.

MAJOR DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Develop and maintain the organization’s integration architecture blueprint.
  • Establish, monitor, and enforce technical standards for enterprise applications.
  •  Define application structures and relationships, including reusable components, software layering, and interface design, while managing cross-platform application architecture in a large, distributed environment.
  • Lead and coordinate integration initiatives across business units and development teams.
  • Plan, execute, and manage the integration of new applications into existing enterprise systems.
  • Ensure integration solutions meet business objectives, user requirements, and address system issues effectivly
  • Align integration strategies, plans, and practices with organizational goals.
  • Develop and implement standards and processes to support integration initiatives.
  • Support and promote Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) best practices within the DevOps team.
  • Apply structured methodologies for application design, development, and implementation.
  • Research and recommend integration tools, technologies, and services.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to test integrated applications and ensure quality outcomes. 
  • Lead integration testing efforts to identify and resolve defects and performance issues.
  • Partner with internal teams and third-party vendors to resolve interoperability and system integration challenge.
  • Build and maintain strong vendor relationships to support application integration efforts.
  • Analyze and interpret business processes impacted by integration, recommending improvements where needed.
  •  Assess integration project outcomes and provide recommendations based on findings.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Manager of IT DevOps.
REQUIREMENTS:
  • College diploma in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience working with enterprise-level applications and integrated business systems (e.g., EAM, ERP, MRP, GIS, HRIS, timekeeping).
  • Strong experience with systems integration, including cloud and SaaS solutions, APIs, middleware, gateways, and ETL/data migration tools.
  • Minimum 5 years of software development experience using technologies such as JavaScript and .NET (experience with AWS, RPG, Perl, or similar technologies is an asset).
  • Broad technical expertise across platforms, operating systems, databases (e.g., MS SQL Server), and integration/communication protocols.
  • Extensive experience with Microsoft Azure and the Microsoft Power Platform.
  • Proven experience in systems analysis, design, and enterprise architecture development in large, complex environments, including creation of architecture deliverables (models, standards, diagrams).
  • Strong understanding of enterprise business processes, business/technical requirements analysis, process modeling, and data mapping.
  • Experience with reporting and analytics tools (e.g., SSRS, Power BI, Microsoft Fabric).
  • Demonstrated ability to design and implement integrations to bridge process gaps and improve business outcomes.
  • Experience with Infor CloudSuite or Enterprise Edition v11.x (EAM/ERP) is considered an asset.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for diverse stakeholders.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical thinking abilities.
  • Proven collaboration and relationship-building skills across cross-functional teams and vendors.
  • Strong organizational and project coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Adaptability and a continuous improvement mindset in a fast-paced, evolving technology environment.
