ACCOUNTABILITY STATEMENT:
The Sales and Partnerships Coordinator is responsible for supporting Ontario Northland’s revenue growth by coordinating the administration and production of third party advertising and partnership activities. This role ensures that agreements, documentation, production requirements, and partner interactions are managed efficiently, enabling strong partnerships and consistent delivery of advertising and revenue generating initiatives.

The Sales and Partnerships Coordinator is responsible for supporting Ontario Northland’s revenue growth by coordinating the administration and production of third party advertising and partnership activities. This role ensures that agreements, documentation, production requirements, and partner interactions are managed efficiently, enabling strong partnerships and consistent delivery of advertising and revenue generating initiatives.
MAJOR DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Follows up on sales leads and advertising inquiries by presenting opportunities, sharing information, conducting meetings, attending events, and making outbound calls to build relationships with prospective advertisers.
- Coordinates all stages of the sales cycle, from initial contact through proposal development, contract preparation, contract execution, credit applications, and invoicing.
- Liaises with vendors and internal teams to coordinate the receiving, production, and placement of advertising on Ontario Northland’s digital and physical assets.
- Maintains ongoing communication with prospective customers, tracking progress through the sales pipeline, following up on next steps, and monitoring revenue and activity through regular meetings and reporting.
- Finalizes sales agreements by preparing and presenting contracts to customers and ensuring appropriate review and sign‑off, including coordination with ONTC’s legal team.
- Supports customer retention by developing strategies, gathering customer feedback, addressing concerns, and identifying opportunities to enhance ONTC’s non‑fare revenue offerings.
- Collaborates with the Marketing Specialist and Chief Marketing and Communications Officer on the sale of print advertisements for the Northlander onboard magazine and other marketing‑related sales initiatives.
- Prepares and updates presentation materials, communications content, and website information to promote advertising and partnership opportunities.
- Networks and engages with advertising and production professionals to stay informed about industry trends, offerings, and technologies that help keep ONTC competitive.
- Monitors and reports on advertising channel performance, including metrics such as click‑through rates and other measures of effectiveness.
- Works with the department’s Financial Analyst to develop and update revenue forecasts, sales targets, and budgets that support non‑fare revenue growth.
- Coordinates with the Treasury Department to ensure accurate invoicing and timely payment processing, including resolving payment issues and ensuring compliance with financial policies.
- Identifies and evaluates sponsorships and partnership opportunities with the Marketing Specialist to support revenue growth or enhance the ONTC brand.
- Collaborates with internal managers to assess the feasibility and organizational impact of partnership opportunities.
- Builds and maintains strong partnerships by coordinating promotions, activations, and events with other organizations to create value for ONTC and its customers.
REQUIREMENTS:
- College diploma in Business, Advertising, Marketing, Project Management, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience coordinating projects or production of creative/advertising work.
- 3 years’ experience working with digital and outdoor advertising practices.
- Minimum 3 years of experience managing accounts and customer relationships.
- Experience writing business materials such as proposals, business cases, briefings, and research summaries.
- Experience managing digital advertising is considered an asset.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Microsoft Teams.
- Familiarity with Google Ad Manager (GAM) and programmatic advertising.
- Ability to analyze campaign performance metrics (e.g., click‑through rates) and prepare reports.
- Strong planning, organizational, and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to clearly explain processes, collaborate across teams, and maintain positive client relationships.
- Strong problem‑solving and issue‑resolution abilities, including negotiating advertising terms and addressing client concerns.
- Adaptability and the ability to work effectively in changing situations and priorities.
- Valid G driver’s license with the ability to travel as required.
- Commitment to health and safety in the workplace.
