ACCOUNTABILITY STATEMENT:
As the Procurement Lead for ONTC’s ERP System Implementation, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth integration of our new ERP system. This position will be responsible for overseeing and managing all procurement-related activities and modules associated with the implementation, from vendor selection to contract negotiation and ongoing supplier relationship management. Your expertise will be crucial in optimizing procurement processes, controlling costs, and ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality goods and services to support the ERP project. Subsequent to implementation, the Procurement Lead will ensure the smooth operation of procurement processes while leveraging the capabilities of the ERP System.

Subsequent to implementation, the Procurement Lead will ensure the smooth operation of procurement processes while leveraging the capabilities of the ERP System.
MAJOR DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead the selection process for ERP system vendors, evaluating proposals and conducting thorough assessments to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
- Negotiate contracts, terms, and conditions with vendors to secure favorable agreements in terms of cost, quality, and delivery.
- Contributes to the development of the functional implementation roadmap
- Resolves project decisions related to the functional implementation, or escalate to the steering committee
- Plays an active role in developing testing and training plans
- Develop and implement a comprehensive procurement strategy aligned with the ERP implementation timeline and project milestones.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their procurement needs and requirements
- Proactively manages risks and issues
- Establish contingency plans to address unforeseen challenges in the procurement phase.
- Liaise with Vendor to lead the development of key plans, priorities and processes for procurement modules and ensure Procurement SME resources are optimized
- Engages Procurement SMEs and other stakeholders at the appropriate time throughout the implementation
- Provides coaching and leadership to Procurement SMEs
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives based on performance metrics and feedback
- Provide ongoing support to users
- Ensure procurement processes comply with relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies
- Implement and enforce procurement governance frameworks to enhance transparency, accountability, and ethical practices
- Work closely with finance teams to monitor and control procurement-related costs
- Develop and generate regular reports on procurement performance metrics, including cost savings, supplier performance, and procurement cycle times.
- Lead and participate in post-implementation reviews to identify areas for improvement in procurement processes and system utilization.
- Proactively seek and implement best practices to enhance overall efficiency and effectiveness
- Facilitate change management processes related to updates, modifications, or expansions of the ERP system within the finance department
- Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
- 3-5 experience in a Procurement role preferably in ERP system implementation
- SCMP certification is an asset
- Previous leadership experience is an asset
- In-depth knowledge of procurement processes, contract negotiation, and vendor management
- Knowledge of project management and Agile methodology is an asset
- Familiarity with ERP systems and their implementation processes is a plus
- Proven ability to lead collaboratively, creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment
- Experience with ERP Softwares, AS400, Excel, Data extraction tools
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, specifically Outlook, Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Must be committed to company health & safety
